Plans fell through and we stopped here for breakfast. At first I wasn't too enthusiastic because I was set on my original plan, but so happy we ate here! The food is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Service is attentive but not intrusive. Atmosphere is laid back but European, think hillside vineyards, French poetry and rich reds and golds. So satisfied with out visit as we were passing through Cobourg!
I was out with a dear friend for my birthday! The food and service was excellent! They even convinced me a gift of strawberry cheesecake was in order! We will be back very soon!!
New ownership as of two weeks ago. Wow! We usually go out for breakfast every Sunday. Our usual place has gone down hill since new ownership so today we thought we’d try this place. It’s our new breakfast place after today. Amazing food, fresh and the price was awesome. The staff are friendly too. They accept substitutions in their menu and I love that. They are expanding their breakfast menu in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for an update. If you usually go to breakfast in town try this place out. Sinthu was our waitress. Very friendly. Last night we went out with our frieghbours Bill Green and Milvia Green and enjoyed MIDI Bistros’s 45.00 3 course price fix dinner menu. We started with French onion soup, escargot, beet and goat cheese salad followed by beef bourguignon, lamb steak and duck confit as our main. Dessert was creme brule for all. The wine choices were well paired with our meal. The meal was delicious, the price more than fair, the atmosphere and service were excellent and our company was wonderful. Enjoyed an amazing brunch/lunch here yesterday. I had the Eggs Benedict Florentine...and it was the best I've ever had in my life! The potatoes that came with it were so delicious I asked for another small plate of them. The mix of Spinach with the caramelized onions was soooo good!! My husband had the Avocado wrap which again was delicious. My Dad had the French onion soup which was also delicious! I could hear other patrons saying to their waitress that their food was delicious. The waitresses in here provide excellent service...a special thank you to Sinthu for her excellent service as she waited on our table yesterday. We will definitely be back and tell family and friends to please come to Midi Bistro where everything is...delicious!!!
We enjoyed our meals from a very full menu! The mussels were perfect and the beef was so tender. Service was excellent and prices are reasonable. We have another reservation made already!
Great little restaurant! The brunch menu had a lot of great opportunities to pick from. I shared an omelet and eggs Benedict with my sister and I couldn't decide which one I liked more! Wonderful servers and a cozy welcoming place. Will definitely be coming back here!
My husband and I finally got the opportunity to try this new local spot - it was absolutely delicious! We opted for the fixed prix menu and everything was amazing. We had the confit duck and the mushroom risotto. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
Excellent breakfast and dinner spot. Love the lamb shank on the price fix menu. Breakfast menu changes on occasion. Offer special occasion menus!
